Using a featured post plugin to enhance your blog or website front page can really grab your site visitor’s attention. More sites these days are making use of this idea as it can be used to quickly summarise the idea behind a blog or provide instant information.
Finding a good featured posts plugin though, can be a bit of a mission, but one we have used is the WordPress Dynamic Content Gallery plugin. We’ve used it on the front page of this site and apart from the minor annoyance of the arrow appearance in IE8 (they display fine in all other browsers of course, curse you Microsoft… the plugin developer is working on a fix for it) – we are pleased with the end result.
